I just wonder about this 8-week cut-off for legal reasons. I bet Big Brother keeps the data for ever and a day, it's only us that aren't allowed to look back beyond a couple of months. It's probably for the same reason that you can only get journey history if you link your Oyster card to a credit card…

2 years ago i was having financial problems, i contacted them to see about lowering interest and pymt amts, and they helped at the time, i set up automatic withdrawls and over a year they have been taking the money out and then out of the blue they stop the auto withdrawls with no notice, i had alot going on in my life at the time and did not realize for a few months that they stopped until i got a call from a collection agency, i asked for them to get me proof as to why they stopped the withdrawls with no notice, they wouldnt i made arrangements to make 75.00 a month pymt but that i would mail to sams club since that is where my acct should be and not with them, i filed complaint with the bbb and no help, i then get served papers fri eve to appear in court in 3 weeks, that they want balance in full which they also indicated that i had been making payments. how the hell can they file a suit, when your not behind and make monthly payments, i guess thats the lovely judicial system we have her in the usa, instead of really working cases that are hindering other peoples lifes they have to allow this. andrew your statement was well said, they call them selfs a reputable company my a--, they are crooks, nz i am sorry they monopolize you over there, i would run as fast as i could, anyone with a mortgage loan or anything to do with ge money should stay far away. as for the ceo he is a jerk with his comments, i hope one day he falls flat on his face with financial issues, what goes around comes around eventually just cause your company screws other people so you guys can sit on your butts and do nothing while the rest of us are harding working trying to make ends meat. i hope more people pass all this to others and file complaints and small clams court with them as well. i am not backing down. i will do everything i can to make known to the public and everywhere just how horrible this company is. I BEG EVERYONE TO PLEASE SEEK A ATTORNY AND LETS ALL FIGHT TOGETHER AND FILE A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT AGAINST THEM. after i talk with and get more information from a attorny i hire i will pass this website along to him and info i can give others to do the same

I'm Karl Heiland's daughter, and I got almost shock when i google Kallebu and found this articel. I am glad that you have been there and look how my father lived in the summer during he was fishing in the river. During one summer (2month) he catched 169 kilo salmon in the river. He lived in the little house, and I remember he told me that he feeded one mouse that summer. The mouse came there every day, and he had always someting to give to the animal he loved so much. Trough all the years he was there, it came people from the hole world to take picture of him and the little house. My father died at mars 1985 after a big hertatache. We lived in Ål in Hallingdal, and we tried to travel over to Måbødalen to look after the house. I'm sorry that my English write is no good, but I hope you can read this. Next time you come to this part of Norway you can call me and mayby we can meet somewhere.

At the end of the line they are practised cowards and bluffers. As for charges, they are currently charging me additional interest on credit balances when I regularly make my payment five days before it is due, and have no arrears. I have asked for their justification for this - guess what? - they have not replied. As for telephone calls they will never let you have them since they would incriminate themselves.

1) you can buy it from either. For the most part they're the same if you buy it from a National Rail or tube station. If there's a benefit from buying from one and not the other, I'm not aware of it.

2) your wife can get a third off the National Rail fare after 9:30am (and all day weekends) but only if she travels with you. She wouldn't get anything on the tube.

3) Best place to find the details of the Gold Card discounts is on the National Rail website (it's quite buried but there) at http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/times_fares/season_tickets/goldcard.html

2. Can my wife gets any advantage on daily travel to her office. She use to travel from Mitcham Eastfields to Balham.
3. I am sure there are so much benefits of having gold card. Can you please highlight few of them as i have seen on so many websites everyone has different opinion.

They are a bunch of inconsiderate B*******.

What heartache they have caused my family
and her son that is only 5 and they are taking away his only money that he would have had.

Andrew Bowden said: So tonight, after twenty minutes, I found out another reason why I've been having so much trouble with Barclaycard's online system - and indeed why I didn't get a memorable word hint.

My username was wrong. I was typing in the wrong thing convinced it was right. Once I finally got in it took me five minutes to find out that there is nowhere in the entire service where you can actually see what your user name is. You can login using your credit card number if you've forgotten it, but if you have then you just have to create a new one.

[bangs head on table]

And, of course, when you do choose a new username, well it has to be 8-16 characters and contain letters AND numbers. Which is why I forgot my username in the first place.

[breaks table with head banging]

I'm now off to write my username down. Because that's secure...

Mike Fisher said: I am also a former Egg customer, and am similarly unimpresed by the "mybarclaycard" website.

The default security seems to be incredibly insecure: a six figure passcode that defaults to your date of birth, and a "memorable word" that displays the hint for all to see.

My first attempt at a memorable word was an obscure Czechoslovakian flute maker. (I happen to own an instrument made by them.) I thought this ticked all the boxes as difficult to guess, personal to me and (being a foreign word) not susceptible to dictionary attack. It was, of course, rejected as it contained the sequence of neighbouring keys: "ert". I settled instead for the town where I grew up, which is much less secure.

I've had a few other issues with myBarclaycard, too. So far, the site has refused to allow me to change my memorable word (I since thought of a really good one!), not changed my direct debit instruction, occasionally logged me out for no apparent reason, and displays only one of my two cards. I used the secure messaging system to ask them about the second card, but they haven't got back to me despite promising to do so "within 24h". Ho Hum.

Like you, I stuck with Egg for a number of years because their online facility was so good. I don't think I'll be with Barclaycard for as long!

Andrew Bowden said: I wouldn't say I confuse privatisation with deregulation. It's quite obvious they are two different things. However I simply do not think it's possible to view one without the other. Each were, as far as the Government of the day was concerned, a key part of their intent to change the system.

Indeed I'd argue that it would have been foolish to do deregulation without privatising the likes of the National Bus Company. Deregulation suddenly put a whole heap of commercial risk on the operations. Better to flog them off, take the money and transfer the risk to someone else. Given several municipal bus operators went under after deregulation, I'm sure some local councils wished they'd sold up sooner.

Martyn Lewis said: As is so often the case you confuse deregulation with the privatisation of nationally and locally owned government transport operators - these were two distinct phases of Tory government legislation. Deregulation brought in competition which to be honest a complacent industry needed, whereas privatisation (which began at around the same time) simply served to make a number of former government employees quite wealthy men, buying publicly owned assests at knockdown prices and in a short space of time selling them on to shape the industry as we know it today.
